Antique Rosewood Sewing Box – Dated 1839 with Original Tools & ProvenanceAntique Rosewood & Inlaid Sarcophagus Form Sewing Box Dated 1839, with Original Tools & Provenance This elegant early Victorian sewing box, dated 1839, is crafted in rich rosewood with pewter stringing and delicate mother of pearl inlay. Made in sarcophagus form and raised on turned bun feet, it features side handles and beautiful detailing throughout. A cartouche on the lid is engraved E. S. and dated 1839, with decorative quarter bobbin mouldings
