Having just read Robert Macfarlane’s ‘Lost Words’ Mayshine perfectly described the new spring leaves of the Oak trees that are dotted up the gentle sloping hills in front of the Abbey

As a result Leicester suddenly became a magnet for tourism in a way which was a bit of a surprise for the city… the gardens around the Cathedral have been fittingly and beautifully remodelled over recent years
