Vintage Butterfly Case III - Formerly Museum Collection Mid 20th CenturyAn incredibly beautiful collection of Butterflies housed in a glass museum case from a European Museum c. 1950. The glass box allows us to view the perfect beauty of species of the family Papilionidae This particular case holds: Scarce Swallowtail; Purple Emperor; Argynnis and Zerynthia polyxena to name a few. Post Renaissance the growing interest in Butterfly collecting or studying, related to the expanding knowledge of science, nature and habitat.
