A Quaker Pegg Derby botanical plate with Dutch Honeysuckle study c.1813-15.Description. Superbly painted in the inimitable style of William 'Quaker' Pegg, with a magnificent botanical study of "Dutch Honeysuckle". The quality of the painting matches the best work of Pegg, as illustrated, for example, in John Twitchett's "Derby Porcelain 1748 1848" (see colour plate 51 for a similar composition). Pegg was born in 1775, in Staffordshire. He commenced work, in Derby, in 1796. In 1800 he joined the Society of Friends and in 1801
