Wood GreenWhen I first saw the light pattern on the steps at Wood Lane tube station, I knew it could potentially be the ideal source material for a painting. My recent work has primarily focused on steps, and Im fascinated by the way light patterns and shadows refract over them, creating repetitive yet differing shapes. The green in the painting is probably what caused me to misremember the tube station as Wood Green, but by the time I realised this, after
